Rihanna turned 22 over the weekend and, in order to celebrate in style, her latest boyfriend Matt Kemp threw her an awesome birthday bash, the kind one doesn’t forget that easily, especially since it also included a dance from a little person. Kemp planned ahead for the back, spending the past month or so placing phone calls and thinking of even the smallest details, E! Online has learned.

Photos taken at the birthday party are already starting to pop up online and, indeed, they do show Rihanna being offered a private dance from a little person. As per reports, the dancer got her jiggy on to one of the singer’s latest hits, “So Hard,” while Rihanna herself sat on a stool enjoying the surprise performance.

Speaking of surprises, this wasn’t the only one Kemp had in store for RiRi.Kemp had been planning the event for at least a month to make sure Rihanna’s birthday was special, according to an insider. There were flowers, Sprinkles cupcakes, tiki torches in the pool, engraved bottles of Ace of Spades champagne and Johnny Walker Blue, as well as a Jamaican chef who whipped up lots of appetizers for the crowd. Around 40 people showed up, including both Rihanna’s friends and some of Kemp’s baseball pals,” E! reports, citing an unnamed source who was also invited to the exclusive bash.

“At one point, a little person billed as Bridgette the Midget entered and danced around Rihanna to the strains of ‘So Hard.’ Kemp brought out a cake decorated with the songstress’ various tattoos, while everyone sang ‘Happy Birthday.’ ‘It was so sweet, and she was really surprised,’ the source said. ‘She looked just beautiful.’ Kemp didn’t stop his surprises with the singer’s party, however. According to the source, he gave the birthday girl a custom diamond necklace,” the same celebrity e-zine says.

Earlier this month, Rihanna put in an appearance on Ellen DeGeneres and denied being in a relationship, despite photos of her kissing Kemp while on vacation had surfaced just days before. Because of this, it was believed what they had was perhaps only a “fling,” though the careful planning of Rihanna’s birthday would seem to indicate Kemp is actually quite fond of her.
